Oops!

It has been awhile since my last post! Let' see...since then we have put our house up for sale. There were several factors involved. First was that we need more room for my mom since she will be coming to live with us. Secondly, and the reason that got this process speeded up is that the kids have been redistricted for next year. Right now we are in a year round school (love the schedule!!) and it a very good performing school. For next year we have been redistricted to the lowest performing school in the county and it is not a very good school all around. We are working on several ways to keep the kids from going there in case the house does not sell in time. I have applied for jobs at their current school and at the new elementary school is opening this fall here in Youngsville. We are also going to file for a transfer and I have gotten some info on how to get that to go through with little or no problem. Hopefully it will all a work out soon!

The kids were tracked out for 3 weeks recently. We spent most of the time off down at the school...phase 1 of the new playground was installed so I had to be there to oversee things. It looks very good and the kids have enjoyed playing on it since school started back. We are still raising money for phase 2 and one good bit of news is that I wrote a grant proposal to Wake Electric and they awarded us some money to go toward the playground equipment. I was truly amazed since I had never written a grant before and had no clue what I was doing!

We are gearing up for Grace's dance recital that will take place Memorial Day weekend. This year she is in 3 dances, hip hop, ballet and tap. We just had pics done last week and I took some myself also and will post them on here.

Baseball is in full swing for Camden. So far we are 1-1 and have had 2 games rained out. We left him in Coach Pitch for another year and I think that so far it has been good for him. He has a great swing with power behind it but the running speed is something that he lacks. Hopefully that will change by the end of the season. Camden is also going to camp this summer at Camp Willow Run up at Lake Gaston. He will be there for a week and is excited because he signed up for archery and got in. He seems very excited about going and is hoping that some of his friends from the lake will be there the same week he is.

Kathrine will find out May 6th if she is having a boy or girl. They have told her it is just one baby but I still think it is twins and one is in hiding. They have pretty much decided on names and I will post that when we know what it will be. I am leaning toward a girl.

In other baby news...my friend Jenna is going to be a mommy and I am soooooo excited for her and her husband Brent!! Jenna has been a little freaked out about the whole thing but I think the reality has finally sunk in and I know that they will be great parents!

Tebow is hanging in there, literally. Grace carries him all over the house and picks him up every time she passes by him. His hair is finally growing out and he is getting better about riding in the car. He has a rope toy that has become his security blanket of sorts. He carries it all over the house and outside with him and he keeps it close by when he naps. He is sooooo cute:)

Relay for Life in Franklin County is May 2nd and 3rd at Bunn High School. My mom and Kathrine and I are on the Youngsville Elementary team. If you would like to donate money you can go the the relay for life website and look us up. Everyone on the team has to raise $100, we are also selling luminaries in honor or in memory of someone that can be purchased thru the site or from a team member. Please help support this cause that is close to my heart since my mom is a cancer survivor and my dad lost his fight against this terrible disease.

Well I guess I have rambled on long enough. I will go post some pics now, I will also have some on there of Grace's birthday party. She turned 6 on March 22nd and had a pottery party. It was a great party and everyone seemed to enjoy it very much. It may be duplicated next year :)
